History & Trivia
The earliest peg solitaire game can be traced back to the time of King Louis XIV who ruled over France from the mid-1600s to the early 1700s. The peg solitaire game exists in two versions – English and European. Nowadays, peg solitaire puzzles come in many varieties like triangular peg solitaire. Certain moves (jumps) in peg solitaire make it impossible to finish the game. The “Pagoda Function” is used to determine which jumps will result in an impossible state.
