History & Trivia
Yuu Asaka, a Japanese puzzle designer, first gained attention while studying at Akita University. During his third year, he created a jigsaw puzzle for an art assignment, breaking traditional jigsaw assumptions. His puzzles challenge users to think outside the box, using unconventional shapes and concepts. His most famous creation, the Jigsaw Puzzle 29, features pieces that all look like corner pieces, adding an unexpected twist. This design earned him an "Honorable Mention" at the 2018 Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition.
